International Mining Exhibition 2017

About: The 7th IME 2017 “International Mining, Equipment, Mineral & Metals Exhibition” (concurrent with 7th Asian Mining Congress), organised during November 8-11, 2017, was a grand success, as informed by Exhibitors, Visitors, Delegates and VVIPs.

The institutionalized event has been envisaged as a catalyst for the development of Mining, Mineral, Metal and allied sectors in India. This prestigious biennial international event of the sector, is one of the largest shows of its kind in this part of the world. It is an ideal platform for the global Mining, Mineral and Metal producers, and other stakeholders of these industries to congregate, display products, exchange technology, negotiate business for mutual business development.

The event was inaugurated by Hon'ble Shri Susheel Kumar, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Coal, Government of India on November 8, 2017 with the traditional lighting of the Lamp. Other eminent dignitaries present on the occasion included, H.E. Shri Milan Hovorka, Ambassador, Czech Republic; Shri Gopal Singh, Chairman, Coal India Ltd.; Dr. N.K. Nanda, President, Director (Technical), NMDC; Shri A.K. Jha, CMD, Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd.; Shri K.S. Biswal, Director (Finance), NTPC; and Shri I.P. Wadhwa, Managing Worker, Tafcon.

High level delegations from Australia, China, Czech Republic, Poland, Russia and many other countries also visited this important event.

Concurrently "Buyer Seller Meet" was organised with presentations from Stakeholders namely Coal India Ltd., NTPC, NMDC, etc. It received very enthusiastic response from overseas and India.

An Exhibitors Award Function was also organised on November 10, 2017, Chief Guest: Shri Debashis Sen, IAS, Addl. Chief Secretary, Government of West Bengal & CMD, WBHIDCO and Guest of Honour: Shri R.K. Saha, Past President, MGMI, gave the awards to Exhibitors in different categories like International Pavilions, Machinery Display, Innovative Stall Design and Presentation, Large Participation, Outdoor Machinery Display etc.
